Green Ant 8/5/2009: Here's an easy one for you, CHIKARA fans. What do you call an ant with butterflies in his stomach? Well in Reading back on July 31st, you'd call him Green Ant. Going into the match against The Order of the Neo Solar Temple at "Never Kneel at the Altar of Conformity" I was nervous - to say the least! The Order had been on a tear in the past couple months, and I had a killer case of the rookie jitters. Luckily for me, my mentors and partners, Fire Ant and Soldier Ant, have been on something of a tear themselves. At Aniversario Yang I stood watch in their corner, and witnessed their epic battle with F.I.S.T. In the end, it was Icarus and Taylor who lost the apuesta - and their long hair.

Upon finding out The Colony was in the feature match of the July 31 card, I knew all eyes would be on me. The rudos would be targeting me, since I'm the least experienced wrestler on roster. So in preparation for the big trios bout in Reading, I did every squat, push-up, and drill that Soldier Ant could come up with until I couldn't go any more. I was almost wishing that Carpenter Ant guy we met back at Aniversario Yang would show up to relieve me. The last thing I wanted to do was let everyone down by losing the match! Well, it seems like the Carpenter Ant picks and chooses exactly when to help his fellow ants out!

All the training and practice paid off! In front of a "Super No Vacancy" crowd at the Riverside, we shocked The Order when we came together as a unit and marched out of there with our arms raised in victory! As things turned out, Fire, Soldier and I didn't end up needing Carpenter's help anyway. Now if I can just figure out how he got that spot in the Young Lions Cup I was after...

Now, don't get me wrong, winning that match was far from easy. In fact, it was the toughest challenge of my career! At the beginning of the match, when I looked across the ring at a trembling, drooling Delirious and his partners, I was shakin' in my Asics! I'd never felt so nervous in my life. I could barely focus! Where was Carpenter Ant to lend us some moral support and encouragement? Was someone swiping my suitcase in the back? By the time that bell rang, I was already a bundle of nerves! However, as the match went on my confidence grew, and with the CHIKARMY behind us, it didn't take long for this new configuration of The Colony to hit on all cylinders. UltraMantis and his thugs found out that this trio of ants is only 3 seconds away from ruining their picnic!

Gotta get to practice!
